AOSafety is the global leader in occupational prescription
eyewear and has provided business and industry with comprehensive
eye protection programs and products for over 90 years. Our optical
laboratories and customer service centers are ISO certified. We
have more than 60 frame styles in the AOSafety frame collection,
as well as frame styles from other well-known safety frame brands.
AOSafety sales representatives and customer service associates
are skilled in helping you design a customized program. And our
extensive dispensing panel of Eye Care Professionals can provide
excellent customer service to your employees through precision eyewear
fitting and comprehensive eye exam services.
Why Prescription Safety Glasses? There is a difference
between street or dress eyewear and safety eyewear. Safety eyewear
meets the ANSI Z87.1-2003 Standard for eye protection. OSHA regulations
direct employers that safety eyewear should be worn whenever there
is a risk of injury to the eyes due to impact, heat, chemical, dust
or optical radiation hazards.
Establishing an effective program is easy. Our trained sales
representatives can help you determine what level of eye protection
is required in your company. We will review the frame selection
with you, the types of lenses available, and help you determine
the options that should be required in your program. We can help
you:
- Control your program with regards to which options are
allowed and cost per pair of eyewear.
- Inform your employees when they are eligible, how optical
dispensing arrangements have been made and where to order eyewear,
and which options are allowed and not allowed in your program.
- Instruct our dispensing panel of eye care professionals
on what options your employees may have and which options are
not allowed.
At AOSafety, we perform meticulous tests to ensure that our eyewear
passes high mass and high-speed requirements. All AOSafety frames
meet or exceed the ANSI Z87.1-2003 Standard. You can rely
on our product to help protect the valuable gift of sight.
AOSafety's frame collection offers frames with fitting
features like soft adjustable nose pads, silicone nose pads, form-fit
bridges, and spring hinges. Our frame collection ranges from basic
plastic frames to fashionable and trendy Titanium frames that are
lightweight, corrosion resistant, and stylish. In between, we have
a vast array of other plastic and metal frames including contemporary
styles for men and women in a variety of shapes, colors, sizes and
price points.
Comprehensive eye protection means providing your employees
with sideshield protection as well. AOSafety provides a wide selection
of sideshield options. Most of our frame styles are offered with
a Brow-Guard sideshield - either detachable or permanently attached.
Our Brow-Guard sideshields are made from Polycarbonate and are available
in Clear or Gray. Some AOSafety frame styles are offered with our
Breeze-Catcher (wire mesh) or perforated full-cup sideshields. AOSafety
provides sideshield protection for virtually any job task.
Prescription lenses are available in Duralite Polycarbonate,
Plastic CR-39, and Glass materials. When manufactured to the guidelines
as established by ANSI Z87.1-2003, all three materials are approved
for use in safety prescription eyewear. AOSafety strongly recommends
the use of Polycarbonate lenses for safety eyewear. Polycarbonate
is the most impact resistant lens material available in the market
today and offers significantly greater impact resistance than Glass
or Plastic CR-39 lenses. Lenses are available with a wide array
of options.
- Single Vision, Bifocal, Trifocal, Occupational, and Progressive
Addition Lenses (No-Line Bifocals).
- Tints in a variety of colors and shades, some for cosmetic
affect and others designed to offer additional protection against
sodium flare, glare, ultraviolet and infrared radiation. Refer
to ANSI Z87.1 Standards for recommendations and guidelines, or
contact your AOSafety sales representative.
- Coatings to increase lens durability and improve optical performance.
- Transitions, Polarized, and Photochromic lenses.
AOSafety provides you with an extensive panel of Eye Care Professionals.
We can provide dispensing services to you through off-site dispensing
programs, or on-site dispensing programs by an AOSafety-employed
optician or contracted dispensing optician.
Our panel of nearly 4,000 Eye Care Professionals will provide courteous
and thorough assistance, and can help your employees with the eyewear
selection process and ensure a proper fit. Once eyewear selection
is complete, the Eye Care Professional will place the order with
one of our optical laboratories and will promptly contact your employee
when the eyewear is completed.
If your program is just starting up, you may want to consider
our "blitz" program where we provide on-site dispensing services
in the beginning to expedite getting your employees compliant and
into safety prescription eyewear. After a short period of time providing
on-site dispensing, we then convert your program to our off-site
dispensing panel.
Or, if your program warrants it with sufficient volume to make
it cost effective for you, we can establish a permanent on-site
dispensing program on a regularly scheduled basis. This program
can be particularly effective if you have a large number of employees
in one location.
AOSafety's optical laboratories were the first optical labs in
North America to be ISO certified. Our state-of-the-art facilities
have the latest in optical manufacturing equipment and are staffed
by an experienced optical manufacturing team.
Our excellent quality and service is your assurance that your employees
are receiving the very best in safety prescription eyewear. Our
average production turnaround time is less than three days, and
our remake percentage ranks among the lowest in the optical industry.
At AOSafety, getting safety eyewear right, and delivered on time
to your employees, is something we take very seriously.
