All of Aearo Company's 12 worldwide production, warehouse and customer
service facilities are ISO 9000 certified. In 1995, the company's
optical production and customer service centers, located in the US
and Canada, became the first prescription safety eyewear facilities
in North America to receive ISO 9002 certification.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the International Standards Organization
is the world's preeminent body for the development of quality assurance
standards and related activities for all industries. ISO 9000 series
standards are used worldwide to develop and evaluate quality systems,
and provide a means of ensuring ongoing compliance with quality
systems through internal and external audits.
ISO 9000 is increasingly becoming the cornerstone of total quality
management and continuous improvement systems, and ISO registration
is desired, expected and required by many countries, markets and
industries.
Ten of Aearo Company's facilities are ISO 9002 certified, which
covers all elements needed for the prevention, detection and correction
of problems that may occur during production, installation and servicing.
The company's Varnamo, Sweden, Poynton, Enland, Southbridge, Mass.,
and Indianapolis, Ind., facilities are ISO 9001 registered, which
covers quality in all the above areas of operations, plus design
and development.
