AUDIO PROGRAMS

Aearo Technologies has five audio programs available. The first two are studio productions. The remaining ones are live recordings - one is a lecture and the other two are radio broadcasts. Program 1 includes some of the best demonstrations of hearing loss and tinnitus available today as well as discussion of basic concepts in acoustics and noise-measurement. Program 2 provides a lucid explanation of flat-and moderate-attenuation hearing protectors and lets the listener audition the characteristics and benefits of such devices.

Program 3 is a lecture intended to explore the excitement of acoustics and the wonders of hearing, suitable for a general audience. Program 4 is a 30-min. radio interview broadcast in the summer of 2004 on WNYU radio, New York . It features Les Blomberg, Director of the Noise Pollution Clearinghouse , talking about noise pollution and community activism, David Schroeder, Director of NYU Jazz Studies, talking about music and noise, and Elliott Berger , Senior Scientist, Auditory Research, of Aearo Technologies, discussing the effects of noise and the importance of hearing protection. Program 5 is a 30-min. radio interview by Michelle Nagai from the New York Society for Acoustic Ecology for GiantEar web radio, conducted in April 2006.
